Overview: Warmer weather and greater wind are on the horizon for this area!

In the 70s to 80s for the plains and 50 to 60s for the highlands and high mountain valley, it’s going to be a mostly bright, windy day. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from midday to eight o’clock p.m. and covers a large portion of eastern Colorado at this time.

Temperatures will fall into the 30s and 40s for the most of the country, with the exception of the high mountain valleys, where they will fall into the 20s.

Extending: We’ll keep an eye on a succession of weak cold fronts that may cause temperature swings and fire weather concerns in the next days and weeks. Monday is expected to be largely cloudy, windy, and somewhat colder in the 60s and lower 70s for the plains. On Tuesday, it will be windy, dry, and somewhat warmer, but we should stay dry. Friday is expected to be hot and windy as a larger storm moves in from the north. Our odds of getting rain on Saturday seem to be slim at this point. Local Forecast
