Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst for Apple, expects the AirPods Pro 2 will be released in the second half of the year in 2022.
The AirPods Pro 2 front has been quiet recently, but we now have a reasonable estimate of when they could arrive: the following date: Ming-Chi Kuo, a respected Apple analyst, expects the next-generation premium AirPods to be released in the second half of 2022.
The new ‘buds will be offered as a straight replacement for the existing AirPods Pro, which will subsequently apparently be discontinued, according to Kuo’s claims. In contrast to Apple’s customary strategy when introducing new technology, this would be a departure from the company’s usual practise of keeping old items on the market but lowering their prices.
According to Kuo, Apple’s strategic shift is a direct result of the “error” it made by introducing the AirPods 3 while the AirPods 2 were still on the market. This is because demand for the new AirPods hasn’t been as strong as it has been for previous-generation wireless earbuds, according to the analyst. As a result, he said, orders have been reduced by 30% plus for the second to third quarter of 2022.
