Galaxy S22 Ultra from Samsung is the newest to be rigged with a razor blade, hardness picks and a lighter by JerryRigEverything.
Scratch tests begin when a YouTube presenter notes that the smartphone does not come with a factory-installed screen protector. The S22 Ultra’s Gorilla Glass Victus+ starts to exhibit scratches at a Mohs hardness level of 6 and becomes worse at level 7, despite Samsung’s claims.
With a stainless-steel blade, the metal frame may be scratched as easily as any other metal object. The S Pen’s buttons and tip are both metal, as is the rest of the device.
Even the S Pen gets the JerryRigEverything treatment, as it is cut apart and its insides examined after being split in two. It has the same water-resistant structure and rechargeable capacitor for the S Pen’s Bluetooth functions as earlier generations.
The S22 Ultra’s Phantom Black matte rear cover doesn’t even leave a scratch from a razor blade. All of the cameras’ lenses and protective rings, which seem to be made of an anodized metal, may be scratched by the blade.

In the end, the gadget does not bend or buckle under the host’s powerful grip. Presenter’s durability test goes well for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. After all, the OnePlus 10 Pro suffered catastrophic structural failure during the same bend test run.
