iQOO U5e gets Dimensity 700 SoC and 5,000 mAh battery

iQOO unveiled the U5 in December of last year and the U5x in March of this year. The iQOO U5e is the latest addition to the company’s U5 series. In other words, the vivo Y33e has been given a new name and is being marketed in China.

The Dimensity 700 SoC powers the iQOO U5e, which comes pre-installed with the Android 12-based OriginOS Ocean operating system. Up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage may be found on this device, which can be increased by up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The 8MP selfie camera on the iQOO U5e is housed in a notch on the device’s 6.51″ HD+ LCD. On the back, there’s a 13MP sensor with a 2MP macro lens and an LED light.

There is a 5,000-mAh battery in the U5e, which can be charged at up to 18W over a USB-C connector. Also included are an on-board fingerprint scanner, an on-board microphone, and 5G connection.

Both the 4GB/128GB and the 6GB/128GB versions of the iQOO U5e are available for CNY1,399 ($210/€200) and CNY1,499 ($225/€210, respectively). In China, it’s available for preorder on the official vivo website, but no specific date has been announced for when it will go on sale.
