Following weeks of leaks, speculations, and teases, iQOO’s Neo family has gained a new member today with the official introduction of the Neo6 SE in China. Only the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC separates the iQOO Neo6 SE from the iQOO Neo6 non-SE, which was introduced and sold earlier this year.

The remainder of the bundle, though, is nothing to be laughed at. The 870’s usage of an older processor means that it is much more expensive than the Neo6’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

While the Neo6 SE begins at CNY 1,999 ($299) with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the standard Neo6 costs CNY 2,799 ($419). It costs CNY 2,299 ($344) for the 8/256GB model compared to CNY 2,999 ($449) for the similarly specced Neo6, and CNY 2,499 ($374) for the top of the line version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Finally, the Neo6 SE has the same 6.62-inch 1080×2400 AMOLED touchscreen as the Neo6 with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,300 nits of brightness, as well as three cameras on the back: a 64 MP main sensor with OIS, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP portrait camera; a 16 MP front camera; an in-display fingerprint sensor; and a 4,700 mAh battery with support for 80W rapid charging.

OriginOS Ocean is installed on top of Android 12. iQOO Neo6 SE in blue, orange, and gradient blue are now available for pre-order in China and will be available on May 11th. No word yet on whether or if it will be made available outside of China.
