To provide customers a bigger, more affordable iPhone is a wise choice

Even though the iPhone 14 isn’t expected to be released for several more months, speculation abounds. With the iPhone 13 mini being replaced by an iPhone 14 Max, this one stands out.

Small phones are great, but this is the proper decision. The most expensive iPhone model, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, is the only one available with a large screen. There are some folks who don’t want to shell out $1,099 for a smartphone only to obtain a large screen.

An $899 non-Pro Max model from Apple would be a tremendous move for them, especially given the speculated pricing of $899. Pro Max’s telescopic camera, 120Hz display, and top-tier performance may not be necessary for everyone. It makes perfect sense for Apple to release a larger version of the iPhone 14.

The iPhone SE (2022) will be the only option for small-phone enthusiasts, and they’ll have to make a lot of concessions in the process. Although the tiny iPhones are cute, their battery life is inferior to that of the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models. Moreover, the smallest iPhones aren’t doing so well, so it would make sense for Apple to offer folks a more affordable big screen choice.

A cheaper non-Pro Max would be more appealing to me than the small mini iPhone.

That you have to upgrade to a Pro model in order to acquire a larger iPhone has always struck me as weird. The iPhone XS Max and the iPhone 8 Plus were the last times you had to pay a premium for a larger screen. However, with the release of the iPhone 11 in 2019, the larger screen was restricted to the Pro model only.

In the smartphone world, three years is a long time to wait, but I look forwards to the iPhone 14 Max. Despite my distaste for the 6.7-inch iPhones, I believe that allowing customers to choose between the smaller iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro and the larger iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max is a wise step. Small or large cases are all you’ll be looking at while making case options.

For people who don’t want to spend more than $1,000 on a smartphone but still want an iPhone, I’d prefer a less expensive huge model. People no longer seem to be interested in ultra-compact phones, and instead appear to prefer larger devices. I’m crossing my fingers that the rumours of an iPhone 14 Max are accurate.
