Apple’s iMac Pro with a mini-LED display is expected to be on sale in June, according to analyst Ross Young. If a June timeframe is right, Apple might unveil an iMac with a bigger screen at the Worldwide Developers Conference. The company has been working on the larger screen for months.

The new iMac was rumoured to arrive in the spring, but Young revealed in late January that he now expects it to arrive in the “summer.” He had said that panel shipments would begin in June, but now seems to have pushed that date forward by several months.

It’s possible that Apple may brand the 27-inch iMac, which will be marketed alongside the 24-inch model, the iMac Pro in order to align it with the MacBook Pro. With “about 1000 zones” and “around 4000 miniLEDs,” Young expects the device to have a mini-LED backlight.

An all-new design and the same M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs seen in the 2021 MacBook Pro versions are slated for the iMac as well.
