Thor: Love and Thunder, the first MCU fourquel, will premiere in theatres in July. The first teaser trailer was released a little over a month ago by Marvel. Since the full trailer arrived last night, it hasn’t taken us long to get our next look at the film.

The God Butcher, played by Christian Bale, is introduced in the trailer as the film’s villain Gorr. Having a name like that, you’d expect him to be obsessed with killing gods. Because they seem to be nothing more than a bunch of self-centered narcissists.

When you consider what Thor used to be like, Gorr may not be entirely incorrect. However, since Marvel is rapidly revealing that there are more gods than anyone ever realised, mass genocide is unlikely to be the solution.

He should at least try to be less creepy and planet-destroying in the process if Gorr is only targeting those who are actively doing bad things. Does Gorr get creepier and more monstrous as the trailer goes on? Necrosword, a weapon that he uses to kill gods, may be corrupting him.

Gorr’s encounter with Thor is inevitable after all this god-murdering. In the end, he is the God of Thunder, and that isn’t just any title. Unless you have a magic hammer like Jane Foster, you won’t be able to do it (Natalie Portman).

We also get a better look at Russell Crowe’s Zeus in this trailer. With an audience gathered to watch him question Thor, he isn’t alone. As the king of the Greek gods, he’s also surrounded by a group of beautiful women.

Later in the trailer, we see Valkyrie wielding Zeus’ signature lightning bolt, so it’s best not to get too attached to the God of Thunder. There is a reason Gorr is referred to as the “God Butcher.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy don’t appear to be playing a major role in this trailer, based on the lack of action they provide. Meanwhile, everyone’s favourite rock monster, Korg, is tagging along.

Disney has also released a poster for the film, which has a psychedelic feel to it but is reminiscent of the original Star Wars trilogy.

Thor: The Dark World opens in theatres on July 8th. Christian Bale plays Gorr, Taika Waititi plays Korg, and Russell Crowe plays Zeus in the film, which also stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor Odinson and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. There will also be a reunion of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel.

It’s not just Thor: Love and Thunder that’s hitting theatres this year as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Visit our website to see what we have in store for you.
