Star Wars movies in machete order
As first proposed by fan Rod Hilton, the “machete order” combines release and chronological order to retain The Empire Strikes Back’s great surprise while still offering some context via the prequels.
It begins with A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back before going back in time to see Darth Vader’s ancestors, and then returns to the present with Return of the Jedi to round out the original trilogy.
No, this sequence does not include The Phantom Menace, which some fans feel unnecessary to the storey (sorry, Jar Jar). Keep in mind that this sequence was put up a long time ago, so it doesn’t include the sequel trilogy or spin-off films (as well as subsequent Star Wars programmes on TV and Disney Plus).

Variety reports that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has signed on to direct a Star Wars film alongside Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
Two of the stars of Marvel’s Luke Cage are said to be working on a new Star Wars film, which may either be released in cinemas or on Disney+, according to reports. Since the beginning of February of the following year, there has been no more information on this.
Fans have been clamouring for a Solo sequel even though it hasn’t been confirmed. According to reports, it will not be a production for Disney Plus.
