Finally, you can watch Coachella online from the comfort of your own home. For the first time in over two years, following a Covid-19 pandemic-caused pause, it will be presented live and in person, but we will not be attending. Are you one of those people?
Instead of driving to Indio, CA to spend a long weekend at the Empire Polo Club in the scorching heat, we’re staying home since Couchella is back for those people (like us). There’s no one who could fault you for not going there. Even if you don’t become sick before you go, the possibility of last-minute cancellations from the continuing epidemic means that your travel plans have a whole new meaning.

The full Coachella 2022 lineup can be found below, but it’s impossible to discuss that year’s event without mentioning the drama that will unfold at the head of the bill. Ahead to Coachella 2022, it was announced that Kanye West will no longer headline the festival, citing personal reasons. Coachella organisers Goldenvoice and the artist now known as Ye were unable to explain the rebranding.
Say what now? I mean, it’s pretty clear. Coachella headliner Billie Eilish was forced to apologise to Travis Scott after West demanded the rapper’s apology verbally on social media. Is there anything that Eilish needs to apologise for? On the Happier Than Ever tour’s Atlanta stop on February 5, Eilish stopped her performance to aid a fan who was having problems breathing. In response to the 10 people who died during Scott’s Astroworld concert, she said, “I wait for everyone to be OK before I keep going,” which some may have perceived to be a dig at him.
A number of people, including Kanye West, saw this as an insult and took to Instagram to demand an apology from Eilish and Scott. When asked about Coachella, he indicated he would not play without one. Eilish said, “Literally never said a word about Travis. was just assisting a fan.” in response to the post in question.
You may have left because of this, dear readers. A new headlining act, The Weeknd X Swedish House Mafia, took his position on day three of Coachella.

Starting at 7 p.m. ET on Friday the 15th, Coachella will webcast live performances all weekend. Weekend 2 Coachella Curated Livestream, a collection of encore performances and supplementary content, will run from April 22 to 24.
The Coachella YouTube Channel features three dedicated streams for the festival, so you can watch the performances there. Music festivals have long faced the challenge of keeping track of the various acts taking place concurrently on different stages. Fans can now purchase merchandise from big-name artists like Billie Eilish, BROCKHAMPTON, and Flume for a fraction of the cost of buying it in person.
Coachella’s entire roster can be seen here, however YouTube has not yet announced a timetable. The old-fashioned huge poster with ever-shrinking artist names could be more your style.
