From your wrist or your iPhone, you can easily turn off Apple Watch’s Time to Stand if they are becoming too bothersome for your liking. To find out how, keep reading.

Apple Watch has stand reminders since it’s bad for your health to be sedentary for long periods of time.

If you sit for the first 50 minutes of an hour, your Apple Watch tells you to get up and exercise for at least a minute.

Whenever you get up and walk about, you’ll receive a notice on your watch congratulating you on completing one hour of your Stand goal. You can shut your Stand ring if you stand and move for at least a minute per hour for 12 hours of the day.

Despite their good intentions, stand reminders might become annoying or even pointless after a time. In this situation, you may simply switch them off as seen in this picture.

  • Your Apple Watch’s Digital Crown may be pressed.
  • Navigate to the Apps screen and tap on the Settings (cog) icon.
  • Select Activity from the drop-down menu that appears.
  • Turn off the Stand Reminders toggle.

The Watch app on your iPhone also has a toggle to turn off this feature. Go to your watch’s activity page and turn off Stand Reminders.

Turning off hourly stand reminders means you won’t be reminded to get up and move about, but the hours you do stand and move around will still be recorded by your Apple Watch and count toward your Stand objective, guaranteeing you can shut the blue Activity ring. Source
