GameStop began testing weekend PS5 restocks last month. A second one is scheduled for today (May 28) smack in between the retailer’s Memorial Day deals.

Insights about the GameStop PS5 stock drop were provided by The Shortcut’s Matt Swider (opens in new tab) (opens in new tab). With a network of insiders at nearly every major retailer, Matt is regarded as one of the best stock monitors in the business. Using his contacts at GameStop, he’s learned that the business will be restocking PS5s in-store this weekend.

In-store restocking events begin as soon as each store opens (which could be as early as 8 a.m. local time). According to Matt’s information, this drop will feature only the PS5 Disc system, with an average of eight units on sale at each location – but some larger retailers are expected to have more.

You’ll also need to be a member of the PowerUp Reward Pro programme to get your hands on this PS5 replenishment. Since the beginning of 2021, GameStop has restricted access to its next-generation console restocks to members of its premium membership programme, and we expect this practise to continue for the foreseeable future. Prior to the PS5 refill this weekend, you can sign up here.

This resupply of PS5 consoles from GameStop, which is well-known for selling them in pre-built bundles, will continue that practise. This in-store event will feature three bundles. $718 for the cheapest and $812 for the others. Gran Turismo 7 is included in all three bundles along with a PS5 disc system, an additional DualSense controller, and other accessories that vary depending on the package.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and a $25 PlayStation Network gift card are included in the $718 bundle. A Sony Pulse 3D Wireless Headset and either MLB The Show 22 or Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut are both included in the $812 packages. The PS5 bundles offered by GameStop aren’t the cheapest, but at least you won’t be overcharged because GameStop charges the combined retail price of the components.

Instead of spending more than you can afford on a GameStop bundle, check out our hub for PS5 restocks if you’d rather buy your console online. Every day, the most recent information from major stores is added to this comprehensive database.
