Galaxy Z Flip 4 rumored photos show design update

Photos of the purported Galaxy Z Flip 4 show a narrower hinge and a less noticeable wrinkle.

Ice Universe, a reputable leaker, said last week that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have a “far narrower” screen crease than its predecessor. The leaker went on to say, “I think most people will be satisfied.”

TechTalkTV has released a fresh batch of claimed Z Fold 4 pictures that appear to back up that assertion. Below, you can see for yourself:

Only the indentations of the hinge and a slight screen glare reveal its location in this picture. However, even though this is only one viewpoint, if the image is authentic it offers some hope for those who were put off by earlier models’ use of the line.

According to Phones Editor Jordan Palmer, it was “by no means a deal-breaker” in our Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 review. While the 3,300mAh battery lasted barely six hours in our testing, it was the phone’s poor battery life that bothered us the most.

The Z Flip 4 appears to have fixed this issue. According to TechTalkTV’s source, the additional 400mAh power and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus’ enhanced efficiency deliver a significant boost in this department.

A leaker points out that the new 3,700mAh battery is just a match for the Samsung Galaxy S22, which scored two hours less than average in our battery tests despite its 3,700mAh capacity.

In any case, TechTalkTV reports that the phone will now give 25W instead of 15W for speedier top-ups, should you still require frequent charging stops. However, TechTalkTV claims.

Ice Universe also suggested a smaller hinge in last week’s leak, and it is definitely apparent in these supposed images:

That should reduce the overall weight of the phone in addition to improving its aesthetics.

At long last, a much-loved feature of the Z Flip is getting an upgrade: the exterior screen, which doubles as a viewfinder when the device is closed. Do not get excited, since TechTalkTV claims that this difference is only evident when the two devices are side-byside.

If the reports are right, we’ll know within a few months whether or not this leak is real. Both this phone and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 were tipped to be introduced on August 10th, with a sale date set for the 26th.
