Ah, Tatooine.

I’m here! It’s time to watch the final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus. Is it this year, or just now? We don’t know. There are some characters we’d love to see more of, but we’re not sure Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and young Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) will be returning for another season.

Then, where were we? Tatooine, the destination we didn’t expect but should have known was inevitable, is where we’re headed now.

OBI-WAN KENOBI DISNEY PLUS EPISODE 6 DATE, TIME AND MORE

  • Release date and time: Episode 6 arrived today (Wednesday, June 22) on Disney Plus at 3 a.m. ET. Full release schedule below.
  • Cast: Ewan McGregor, Vivien Lyra Blair, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, Kumail Nanjiani, Sung Kang
  • Director: Deborah Chow
  • Rating: TV-14

Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits) believes that Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi (John Boyega) are both on their way to the Death Star to find Luke Skywalker’s son. Reva (Moses Ingram) is also on the quest for Vader, and she knows all of this, so she’s also on her way there.

Obi-Wan and Vader’s epic confrontation is what this series was all about (which was also teased with a brief duel in episode 3). We, on the other hand, hope that Vader removes his helmet during this fight. Hayden Christiansen’s return in Obi-Wan Kenobi has been far too brief and too small, as I noted after seeing episode 5. In all honesty, it hasn’t been his voice (hello, James Earl Jones, thank you for your service) and the flashback didn’t do a whole lot for me, even though he has been wearing that helmet the entire program.

However, episode 5 reminded me yet again that we need a new Star Wars program starring The Path. The addition of O’Shea Jackson Jr. as Roken and Maya Erskine as Sully has been fantastic.

Obi-Wan Kenobi cast

Ewan McGregor portrays the Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi in the film Obi-Wan Kenobi. On Tatooine, he is known as “Ben,” and he keeps watch over Luke Skywalker after surviving the Order 66 execution of Jedi. Vivien Lyra Blair, who portrays a young Princess Leia Organa, is his most notable co-star.

In the role of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Hayden Christensen, who previously appeared in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, joins him onscreen. Vader, the father of Luke and Leia Organa, is a Sith Lord in charge of the Inquisition, which he uses to track down all remaining Jedi.

In this episode, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Maya Erskine made their debuts as Roken and a character the subtitles claimed to be called Sully, respectively. Both of them are on The Path, a rescue mission for Jedi who are on the run from Order 66.
