Ms. Marvel episode 3 is finally available online, and without giving anything away, it’s a good one. To be fair, Kamran’s debut to his family last week seemed momentous.

The episode from last week only served to confirm the accuracy of the initial Ms. Marvel reactions. Especially after that boy fell from the mosque’s tower, Iman Vellani hits all the right notes as she learns to use her new abilities. She doesn’t need a relative to remind her that great power and great responsibility go hand in hand; she already knows.

Kamran did save Kamala from the Department of Damage Control, as we observed her sprinting away from it. That woman in Kamran’s automobile, on the other hand… We assumed she was Aisha, Kamala’s long-lost great grandmother, who no one in the family acknowledges anymore, because she looked just like the woman in Kamala’s visions. Why, then, is she still alive and appearing so young if that’s the case?

Ms. Marvel trailer and teaser

First look at Kamala in school and discovering her superpowers in the first official Ms. Marvel trailer! However, it appears that the show will veer off course from the comics, omitting the Terrigen mists and any mention of the Inhumans, both of which were crucial to her original origin tale.

We learned that Kamala Khan didn’t expect to be given super powers at Disney Plus Day but was surprised when she did. Despite the fact that she appears to be wearing a makeshift Captain Marvel costume, we are unable to see how her telekinetic abilities actually work. It’s on Disney Plus, if you’re interested (opens in new tab).

Marvel debuted a sizzle reel teaser for Ms. Marvel during Disney Investor Day in December. However, “at the root of it, her tale is so universal” introducing Kamala as a “new sort of superhero.”

Kevin Feige, Marvel’s CEO, observes that she’s a very recent addition to the comics. Highlights include Adil El Arbi and Bilall Falls, Meera Menon, as well as Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, as the four directors. Vellani’s performance in the part is featured in the sizzle reel for the first time.
