Based on this breathtaking teaser, Starfield may be Bethesda’s most ambitious game.

During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, Starfield had a strong showing. Concept art and images from the game had already been shown to us. Our expectations were exceeded by the amount of gameplay video shown during Microsoft’s fake E3 presentation. Those who were hoping for a combination of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout in outer space will be pleasantly surprised by the content of this new teaser.

All of these features were on display, from planetary exploration to character customisation. Customize your character’s physical look, as well as their talents and abilities; this is just one of the many options available. Other parts of Starfield, such as base construction and ship construction, may also be customised. For Bethesda Softworks-developed games, this is all expected, but seeing how much control you have over the experience is still astounding.

When it comes to building your starship from scratch, not only can you do it, but you can also fly it into space and engage in zero-G combat with other starfighters. Because Starfield takes place in outer space, you’ll be able to visit a wide variety of worlds. More than 100 star systems and more than 1,000 planets are being planned by Bethesda, Maryland’s Todd Howard. For the sake of the game, space exploration need to be one of its most prominent features.

Starfield is building up to be a gigantic project, and you can check out the clip above to see what was presented today. Xbox really needs a smashing success after the flop that was Halo Infinite. With Starfield, Microsoft’s Xbox brand may finally be able to compete with Sony’s PlayStation line-up. Xbox Game Pass memberships are expected to rise as a result of the inclusion of Starfield at its debut.

Starfield’s release date is currently listed as “2023.” Microsoft’s decision to offer us a general estimate rather than a date that may be subject to change is a wise one. However, judging on this stunning teaser, the wait for Starfield should be well worth it. Before, I had no interest in Starfield, but now I do. There’s a chance it may be the space exploration game I’ve been waiting for if it lives up to its promises.
