Apple is anticipated to unveil new iPhone SE and iPad Air models with an A15 processor and 5G capability during a virtual event on Tuesday, March 8, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his Power On email today.

It’s uncertain whether Apple will unveil a new Mac this spring, according to Gurman, who stated the company aims to release at least one new Mac this spring. While an Apple silicon successor for the iMac 27-inch is slated to come in August or September, this new Mac might be a high-end Mac mini powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs.

According to Gurman, Apple is working on four new Macs using M2 processors, including an updated MacBook Air, an entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro, a 24-inch iMac, and an entry-level Mac mini. Following Apple releases its last Macs with M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs, it’s probable that these Macs will be released later this year after the rest of the year.

Gurman predicts that the next entry-level MacBook Pro will be devoid of a ProMotion display and will not have Apple’s Touch Bar.

Apple Event on March 8

On March 8, 2022, Apple is expected to conduct its first event of the year. On display will be a new generation of iPhone SE, a new iPad Air model for 2020, and a new Mac machine with an Apple-designed processor.

Apple might release a new iPad Air with an A15 Bionic CPU, a front camera with a resolution of 12 megapixels and compatibility for FaceTime HD and 5G on cellular variants in the future. With a 10.9-inch LCD screen, it’s likely to appear like the present iPad Air.

The upcoming iPad Air will include the same single-lens back camera as the present iPad Air.

Expect an iOS 15.4 release date somewhere in the first part of March as a direct result of Apple’s March event and its new gadgets. Face ID-enabled iPhones will be able to unlock even while the user is wearing a mask, according to a new iOS version that also brings Universal Control and a new set of emojis.

Apple is also said to be working on a 27-inch iMac successor that uses the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs and might be branded as an iMac Pro.

The new A15 Bionic chipset in the iPhone SE 3 will allow it to handle 5G networks. A $399 iPhone SE-like price tag is likely for this next smartphone as well (approx. Rs. 30,000).

The new handset, despite its diminutive size, is expected to be based on the design of the iPhone XR.
