WWDC 2022: Everything You Need to Know
The date for Apple’s annual developer conference, WWDC 2022 (which begins on June 6), has just been announced. Every year, during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple executives show off the latest versions of the operating systems that power its products, including iPhones, Macs, iPads, watches, and television sets.
This year’s WWDC will be streamed online, just like prior Apple events. Predicting what Apple will add in 2022 after this announcement is like firing the first shot in a war.
It’s fairly uncommon for Apple to release developer betas for upcoming OS updates within a few days of their keynotes, in addition to announcing new features and functionality. Stable public betas will be published over the next few months, followed by final versions accompanied by new hardware in the fall.
WWDC 2022 dates
The dates for WWDC 2022 are June 6 through June 10. On June 6, the keynote address and accompanying State of the Union films will be unveiled. The keynote addresses the general audience, whereas the State of the Union focuses primarily on the tech community.

As good a time as any to reveal that iPads can now run Mac apps is WWDC 2022, especially since the iPad Air 2022 features an M1 chip. In the end, what’s the problem? Macs can run iPad apps.
The tvOS 16 operating system.
There have been no reports regarding what tvOS 16 will have, but we’ve received two requests for additional features. First, can Apple make the Apple TV support external webcams? With out that, FaceTime SharePlay forces you to juggle your Apple devices.

The next-generation MacBook Air 2022 is expected to have a new M2 chip and come in a variety of eye-catching colours, according to reports. We’ll have to wait and see what’s on display during the event.
After that is the new Mac Pro powered by Apple’s latest silicon. There are a lot of people in the developer community who will be eager to see what Apple has in store for them in 2022, so WWDC would be a great place to give them a taste of what they may expect. That doesn’t mean anything’s guaranteed, but it wouldn’t hurt to have it happen at all!
However, we have to ask how much time Apple will allow third-party app developers to design apps for the Apple VR/AR headset at WWDC 2022. We don’t expect to see the final hardware at WWDC 202, but Apple could tease the fabled realityOS, which would operate on the headset. Recent reports point to a 2023 release. Aside from that, it’s widely believed that Apple’s forthcoming AR/VR headset is heavily linked to iOS6 16.
