It’s possible that the Apple Watch 8 will get the design overhaul some predicted when the Apple Watch 7 was released last year. According to a tech news source, an Apple Watch with a flat bezel could be unveiled this fall.

Apple Watch rumours have been reignited by leaker Jon Prosser on Tuesday’s episode of Front Page Tech. Prosser claimed the next-generation Apple Watch Series 8 may appear completely different from the current model, which doesn’t have smooth sides.

According to these latest images, Apple’s upcoming wristwatch will appear very much like its predecessors, with a flat screen and flat sides. These revised photos may show a more accurate depiction of what the Apple Watch 8 would look like, as the bezels around the screen are more prominent.

There are photographs of a flat-edged Apple Watch that Prosser claims to have, therefore he believes it to be a real device. He offered three possibilities: the images depict the Apple Watch 8, the rumoured rugged version of the Apple Watch 8, or neither.

Rumors of an Apple Watch SE 2 and a tough Apple Watch for outdoor sports are circulating, according to a few insiders. As far as Mark Gurman is concerned, both could be on their way this year.

We already know that these images are nothing more than a hearsay. Even if the Apple Watch 8 looks significantly different from the Apple Watch 7, we doubt it will. The differences between the Apple Watch 7 and the Apple Watch 6 are so subtle that it’s difficult to discern unless you’re actually looking at them.

As a side note, we’d love to see a completely redesigned Apple Watch. There’s a chance that reorganising the smartwatch’s interior would make it feel more modern while also standing out more from other round watches like Google Pixel Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, all of which are expected to arrive in the near future.

At WWDC 2022, Apple is likely to unveil a watchOS 9 preview. We don’t know. Apps and interfaces that appear to be better suited to a flat screen than a curved one are possible.
