“Foundation” was renewed for a second season in October 2021, barely a month after it premiered. The show’s second season will feature numerous new cast members who will be known to fans of the novels.

  • Isabella Laughland plays Brother Constant, a happily confident claric tasked with evangelising the Church of the Galactic Spirit throughout the Outer Reach. Constant is a real believer whose boldness and enthusiasm make it difficult not to admire her.
  • Poly Verisof, High Claric of the Church of the Galactic Spirit, played by Kulvinder Ghir. He’s whip-sharp and caustic, but he’s also a horrible alcoholic — clever enough to understand where he’s going yet too cynical to change.
  • Sandra Yi Sencindiver plays Enjoiner Rue, Queen Sareth’s gorgeous and politically astute consigliere. Rue, a former prostitute to Cleon the 16th, rose up the ranks to become a royal counsellor.
  • Ella-Rae Smith as Cloud Dominion’s Queen Sareth. Sareth is used to being underestimated, and she uses it to her advantage, charming her way into the Imperial Palace with sharp humour, all while on a hidden revenge mission.
  • Hober Mallow, played by Dimitri Leonidas, is a skilled merchant with a sardonic demeanour and dubious morals who is summoned against his choice to serve a greater, altruistic purpose.
  • Bel Roise, the last great general of the Superliminal Fleet and would-be conqueror of the Foundation, is played by Ben Daniels. Bel is a noble to a fault, yet his allegiance to the Galactic Empire is dwindling.
  • Holt McCallany plays Warden Jaegger Fount, the current Warden of Terminus and the city’s protector against foreign dangers.
  • Mikael Persbrandt as The Warlord of Kalgan, a monster of a man coiled with muscle and possessed of extraordinary psychic skills, driven by hatred in his goal to rule the galaxy.
  • Tellem Bond, the mysterious leader of the Mentallics, is played by Rachel House.
  • Yanna Seldon is played by Nimrat Kaur.

Because to the show’s timetable, some of the original cast members from the first season will not be returning, however Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Laura Birn, Terrance Mann, and Cassie Bilton will continue to appear in the second season.

There is no news on when the second season of “Foundation” will premiere, but given that the first season wasn’t published until September 2021, it’s probable that Apple would wait many months before releasing a new season.
