Apple to Discontinue Fleetsmith Enterprise Device Management Service in October


According to Apple, the Fleetsmith service will be discontinued on October 21st, 2022.

On the 21st of October 2022, Apple will cease offering the Fleetsmith service. According to Apple’s latest announcement, Fleetsmith will no longer accept new users as of April 21, 2022.

Existing customers will be able to use the service until October 21. After that date, devices will no longer get configuration profiles from the Fleetsmith Server and clients will no longer be able to log in.

Apple is also encouraging its customers to switch to a new service.


From Apple’s perspective, Fleetsmith was a mobile device management platform.

Admins that need to handle large numbers of Apple devices may use Fleetsmith, a mobile device management service. Fleet management should be accessible to all enterprises, regardless of their size. Your devices may be configured and patched automatically using this tool.

Device commands are sent to managed devices via Fleetsmith’s MDM protocol.
