A new Dr. Strange 2 teaser has been released for a Super Bowl 2022 ad

Dr. Strange 2 and Moon Knight may be assisting Matthew Stafford and Joe Burrow. No, not on the field of the Super Bowl 2022 live stream, but by giving the broadcast a bit more star power given that Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes are all unable to play.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Moon Knight are among the “potential commercials” that Disney might reveal during Super Bowl advertising, according to a new Deadline storey. While we don’t know how lengthy these video will be (Disney has all the money, but this is still a rich spot for ads).

Pixar’s Lightyear – the genesis tale of Buzz Lightyear — is also a possibility for a Super Bowl ad, and it feels the most appropriate for the big game of the three.

Other films that are expected to receive Super Bowl advertising include Jurassic World: Dominion and Bel-Air. The latter will be accessible to view during and after the big game on Peacock, which is also streaming the Super Bowl for cord-cutters who do not watch NBC.

A new Sonic the Hedgehog 2 video is also planned for the Super Bowl. Deadline is sceptical of a new Top Gun: Maverick trailer, which would promote a film that has been hyped for so long that you’d be forgiven if you believed it had already been released.

Analysis: What Dr. Strange 2 and Moon Knight ads need

So far, Dr. Strange 2 teasers have emphasised the multiverse element, showcasing both the Stephen Strange seen in the MCU and Strange Supreme (the villainous Dr. Strange shown in Marvel’s What If…? But if the teaser showed us alternative multiverse versions of recognisable characters,our mouths would drop. Alternatively, if it depicted Loki and Sylvie appearing after the latter disrupted the holy chronology.

The first Moon Knight teaser gave us all the right feelings, but it seemed like Oscar Isaac would spend the entire programme with the strangest accent that simply didn’t suit. We’re assuming that accent is only for one of his “alters,” since Moon Knight is one of Marc Spector’s identities, a former US Marine and CIA operative with dissociative identity disorder.

Another thing we’d like to see from the teaser is more detail regarding Ethan Hawke’s ostensibly malevolent character. While Spector/Moon Knight seemed to be having enough problems with his various identities, every comic book film need a compelling villain.
